The new chemistry building will allow UF to make a stronger contribution to the new innovation economy.
As a discipline within STEM — science, technology, engineering and math — chemistry is predicted to bring new technologies and new jobs in the coming decades. UF wants to invest in that potential by providing top-notch facilities for students and researchers. The chemistry building will add four stories of classrooms and labs containing state-of-the-art equipment. It will also offer a central home for undergraduate chemistry students.
